Somatic Anxiety Coaching for the nervous system that’s been stuck in survival mode
Anxiety doesn’t just live in your thoughts, it lives in your body.
Somatic coaching is a body-based approach that works with your nervous system to help you regulate stress, release long-held tension, and feel safe again. Instead of just talking about stress, we work with the body to release tension, build resilience, and create a deeper sense of calm from the inside out. We use breath, body awareness, and gentle movement to help you come back to yourself. If you’ve tried talking it out and still feel stuck, this may be the missing piece.
If you:
Want to feel empowered, emotionally resilient, and inspired at a soul level
Want to live your life with joy and ease and not be held back by anxiety, stress and burnout
Want to rediscover your magic
Want to feel fierce and alive and present in all areas of your life
Have tried other modalities but feel like there’s a missing piece
Your journey starts here
How this work found me
My path to coaching hasn’t been linear. My journey has been an unfolding one, shaped by countless experiences, each of which has deepened my understanding of myself and the world around me. I’ve worn many different hats over the years: corporate artist, hairstylist, business owner, yoga teacher, and small group trainer; and each has taught me something valuable. In many of these roles I was constantly giving, always holding space for others. But behind the scenes, I was quietly burning out, carrying more stress and anxiety than I knew how to name. When I discovered somatic work, everything shifted. It helped me slow down, get out of my head, and feel safe to experience my emotions. That’s why I do this work. Because I know what it’s like to look calm on the outside and feel frayed on the inside.
I've worked with people in their most vulnerable moments, and I know how much energy it takes to keep it all together. Now, as a certified somatic coach, I combine practical tools with deep empathy to help you move through anxiety, burnout, and everything in between.

What people are saying
Katie was instrumental in helping me navigate a complicated and very challenging period of transition. She listens with great empathy, offering a kind, supportive and deeply informed perspective that I found very helpful.
–Steven T.
I've worked with several coaches and Katie is excellent. I appreciated her tailoring our work to my requests, but also nudging other things to consider. I left our sessions feeling like I had more clarity and clear next steps. My goal was to get an area of my life in better shape and I did, PLUS I ended up making changes elsewhere using the momentum this started and insights the work provided.

Somatic Anxiety Coaching is a body-based approach that helps you manage anxiety by tuning into physical sensations, breath, and nervous system patterns. Instead of just talking about stress, we work with the body to release tension, build resilience, and create a deeper sense of calm from the inside out. Somatic coaching uses evidence-based somatic techniques that address anxiety at its physiological and emotional roots, including gentle movements, breath work, and body awareness practices that help to shift from fight-flight-freeze into states of safety, groundedness, and inner peace.

Somatic coaching is not the same as therapy. While they both focus on the body-mind connection, they use different methods.
Somatic coaching is a form of life coaching. The focus is on the future and taking action and a lot of emphasis is put on developing new skills and habits. Somatic coaching clients are looking to improve themselves.
Somatic therapy addresses and heals emotional, psychological, or trauma-related issues. The focus is on past trauma and dysfunction. Therapy clients often deal with mental health challenges and trauma.
While coaching can complement therapy by providing support, motivation, and practical strategies, it is not a substitute for therapy when therapy is needed.

Co-Active Coaching is an experience of personal development unlike other kinds of coaching. Based on the Co-Active Model, it begins by holding the coachee as naturally creative, resourceful and whole, and completely capable of finding their own answers to whatever challenges they face. The job of a Co-Active Coach is to ask powerful questions, listen and empower to elicit the skills and creativity a client already possesses, rather than instruct or advise. Co-Active Coaching is a powerful relationship created through an open, courageous conversation between the client and the coach. Co-active coaching places the power on the coaching relationship: the coach and coachee are equal, collaborating for the benefit of the coachee.

About me
I’ve always been drawn to the human experience… what we carry, how we cope, and how we heal. For over 20 years, I worked as a hairstylist and salon owner, creating space for people to feel seen, heard, and cared for. Eventually, the emotional labor caught up with me, and I found myself burned out, anxious, and disconnected from my body.
That’s when I found somatic work and everything shifted. It helped me slow down, breathe, and come back to myself.
Now I support others on that same path. I’m a Certified Professional Co-active Coach (Co-active Training Institute), Somatic Anxiety Coach (The Embody Lab), a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, and a Reiki level II practitioner. In addition to coaching, I offer Reiki energy healing and teach yoga classes, bringing together movement, mindfulness, and nervous system support.
My work blends nervous system education, body-based tools, and deep presence to help people move through anxiety and burnout with more ease and resilience.
If you’re ready to stop white-knuckling your way through life, I’m here to help you reconnect—gently, patiently, and with compassion.
